I am excited to start this upcoming school year as principal of Metcalfe County High School. MCHS offers a challenging academic program, outstanding co-curricular and extracurricular programs, and exciting school-sponsored events throughout the school year. It is an honor to serve as the leader of MCHS, and I look forward to working with the school community to provide exceptional learning experiences for our students.
Metcalfe County High School offers an extremely thorough curriculum, which is the foundation for student success. We provide a variety of options for our students to ensure they have all the tools they need to flourish while in school and after graduation. We will hold students to high standards while also working to provide for their needs as individuals.
The Metcalfe County High School staff has a passion for helping students grow and develop into respectful individuals with a desire for learning and love for this community. We focus on building relationships and providing support for all learners. The staff at MCHS works diligently to meet the needs of all students and provide an environment that is safe, engaging, and challenging academically.
In addition to academics, we offer extracurricular programs, including music, athletics, agriculture, aviation, and theatrical arts. Getting involved with clubs or activities within MCHS is a great opportunity for students to hone their skills outside of the classroom as well as cultivate lifelong learning.
Metcalfe County High School communicates to parents and students utilizing Infinite Campus Parent Portal, teacher email, and teacher websites. I would like students and parents to take advantage of these opportunities so that everyone is well-informed regarding grades and attendance. We also make great efforts to share accomplishments and general information on school social media outlets. In an effort to provide a safe learning environment, the administrators have assembled a Student Handbook. The rules and regulations contained in this booklet are in effect and govern the behavior of students while on school grounds during school hours, off campus during school hours, at school-sponsored functions, or while being transported to or from school activities. Please take some time to read this valuable information and familiarize yourself and your child with the information.
