Contact Info:

Welcome! I'm so excited about this school year.  We have a lot of fun things planned for our Super Students, including field trips, projects, FREE swim lessons, clubs, computer time, and teambuilding.

How can you contact me? If you ever need any help or have concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.  I'm availble through Remind 101, Class Dojo, e-mail ( and phone (270-432-2051).  I welcome you to volunteer in my classroom or schedule a time to come visit.

What can you expect from Language Arts this year? This year will be full of exciting new content and new adventures.  In my classroom we will be meeting each challenge with a Hero's attitude and as teamplayers.  We will be using the Growing with Grammar series to stregthen our writting skills.  There will be weekly spelling tests, with practice homework that will be due on Fridays.  We will also be participating in literature circles where students will read an assigned book, discuss, and complete tasks surrounding the text.  In our literature circles, we will be focusing on learning new vocabulary words and using them appropriately

Who is Ms. Lindsey?:

This will be my fourth year as a 4th grade language/reading teacher.  I have served many roles at our school including teacher assistant (2 years), Drama Club sponsor (5 years), Beta Club sponsor (1 year), Ag Club sponsor (3 years), and STLP sponsor (1 year).  Even though I am from Monroe County, I have been a proud Metcalfe Countian for 5 years. Metcalfe is home and I love opportunties to support my community. I a simple country girl who loves cows, gardens, flowers, cooking, and needlepoint.  I have an extensive background in theatre including acting in over 20 plays, directing over 30 plays, and leading youth drama camps.  I am a Christian who takes values and morals to heart.  I am an adrenaline junkie who loves ziplining, snow skiing, and roller coasters. I love teaching and take it very seriously.  I want to be the super teacher to these students that helps them to realize their inner super strengths and encourages to work as a team with their peers, despite their differences.
