A little about me: I live on my family farm with Johnny, my husband, and our two children, Tyler and Kassady, whom both attend Metcalfe County Schools. I spend free time working on the farm, taking my children to activities, and doing anything outside. I am a proud graduate of Metcalfe County High School and received my Bachelors of Arts degree at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. I later earned my Masters degree at Western Kentucky University in Leaning Disabilities and my Rank 1 in the Director of Special Education. I have worked in the Metcalfe County School system for the past 17 years. I joined the Metcalfe Middle School team 7 years ago when it consolidated with the 6th Grade Center. I can't imagine being anywhere else!
I also currently coach the Middle School Girls Basketball Team and have done so for the past 7 seasons. I feel sports are an excellent way to learn and enhance leadership skills, develop the ability to work as a team and an excellent way to stay in shape.
I collaborate with the county 4-H agent to work with participants at the middle school level and encourage them to expand their knowledge, leadership, and ability through the program.
