Hey There! My name is Robin Hancock and I am so excited to be teaching Reading in Fourth Grade!!! I am originally from Maryland. I grew up on a farm and ended up going to the University of Kentucky to get a degree in Ag Economics. Later, I married and moved to southern Kentucky. I went back to college because I wanted a career I could really put my heart into (plus I get to use my Ag degree a lot on our family farm) and I found that in the career of teaching. I love it!!! I attended Lindsey Wilson College where I attained my certification in Elementary Education. As well, I recently completed my Masters Degree to be a certified Reading and Writing Specialist in the state of Kentucky and also recently achieved a certification in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE). In addition, I have served on SBDM Councils previously for three years, co-written grants, served as KJHS and STLP Sponsors for the past 7 years. I also have a wonderful husband, Kirby, of 16 years and two boys of my own, Hayden (13 years) and Hudson (7 years) which I dearly love.
I am in my tenth year of teaching. I taught first grade for four years, reading intervention for two years, third grade for one year and I am elated to have the honor of being a teacher again in fourth grade for the third year! I love to study and read a lot over the summer so I am very excited to integrate what I have been learning with our fourth grade standards!!! I look forward to everyday and and expect nothing less from my students than to be
