Welcome to Fourth-grade! My name is Mrs. Miranda McGowan-Keltner and this will be my third year teaching in the Metcalfe County School District and my first year teaching fourth-grade. Let me begin by saying that I feel honored to have the opportunity to share this year’s journey of learning with your child.
I am a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Spanish. I was born and raised in a small town called Jabez that is nestled along Lake Cumberland in Russell County. I have spent most of my life working alongside my family on our dairy farm where we raise corn, hay, tobacco, and beef cattle. I currently reside in Columbia with my husband, Brandon Keltner. During my free-time I enjoy farming, fishing, baking, and spending time with our two dogs Abbie and Hercules.
Although agriculture has played a vital role in my life, teaching and education has always been my passion and making a difference in the lives of my students has always been a lifelong goal. I believe that every child has the ability to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. My goal this school year is to provide your child with the skills and knowledge to become lifelong learners and happy and successful members of our community. I hope to make learning fun and our classroom an inviting place where they enjoy coming to every day.
Please feel free to contact me at ANY time if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. You may reach me at school at (270) 432-2051, or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!
