I attended Summer Shade Elementary School and Metcalfe County High School graduate 1980!  Member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority at the University of Kentucky.  Participated in the paralegal program at Eastern Kentucky University and graduated from the Elementary Education program at Western Kentucky University.  I also earned a masters degree in Public Health Education and a Rank 1 in Educational Administration and Superintendency at Western Kentucky University.

I have worked as a classroom teacher 10 years and I am in my 16th year as a school administrator.  My first job was teaching Kindergarten at North Metcalfe and Summer Shade Elementary Schools.  I then taught 3rd grade at Summer Shade Elementary for one year.  My next experience was at Edmonton Elementary teaching 3rd grade and 6th grade.  I taught Intro. to Health 101 at WKU for 8 years.  My first administration experience was as assistant principal at Metcalfe County High School for 1 1/2 years.  I moved to Bonnieville Elementary in Hart County to lead my first school.  It was an incredible experience.  I couldn't ask for a nicer community to support me in my first Principal role.  North Metcalfe Elementary Tigers hired me as their principal 3 years and it was just heaven on earth.  I tried the high school principal position at Glasgow HIgh School.  The students and teachers were so supportive of my first high school principal assignment.  I then came home to Metcalfe where I have worked as principal of Metcalfe County High School going on my 7th year here.

My passion is working hand in hand with students and teachers.  Magic is made when parents, students and the school work together for the success of the community's most important resouce, it's future, our students' success!
