A group of MCMS 8th graders recently visited American Engineers, Inc. in Glasgow. The trip was part of their personalized learning experience. Preparing for Snow Days

               

We would like to remind everyone that Metcalfe County Schools are again participating in the Non-Traditional Instructional Day (NTID), or “Snow Day” project. On the days school is dismissed for inclement weather all students should follow the instructions provided by their teachers in order to complete studies and assignments at home. Any day missed for snow directly before or after Christmas break will be considered an NTID day. As always, please contact your child’s school if you have questions.

Layla Spring American Idol Contestant Performs for MCMS

American Idol contestant Layla Spring, from Marion County, Ky., performed for the students at Metcalfe County Middle School on April 17. Layla made the top 24 of American Idol before being cut. She is now traveling around the state with her family and little sister Dyxie. Layla and Dyxie entertained the students and staff with music, autographs, and selfies.
